Hello, I'm the person that made the request for this pairing and I just want to throw some things out there that can really enhance the films when you think about it enough. Linklater, Hawke, and Delpy have said a few times that the films have taken on a new mission statement where they want to explore how romantic relationships evolve throughout the years. So Before Sunrise is very romantic and idealistic for the most part with a hopeful ending, Before Sunset is 9 years later where both Jesse and Celine have had some hardships and complications but there is still the potential or promise of really having a happily ever after and the ending really pushes that point, and I won't spoil Before Midnight but that film really challenges some of those ideas and gives a realistic look into how romance changes closer to midlife. Just wanted to mention that interesting tidbit.
